This collective Troupe will be the cornerstone to kick off our milestone year within our concert season during November 2025. We want to showcase what it means to be part of Nicz through demonstrating the talent and camaraderie that we value so highly.
Within this Troupe there will be TWO groups -
1. Lead: audition based
2. Ensemble: formed based on interest/registration
These two groups will work both in unison and separately to create a spectacular showcase!!
LOCATION / TIME:
Friday 6pm - 7pm at Mount Eliza Secondary College
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:
TERM 2 and 3: An exact timetable will be published closer to commencement. The Lead group will be required for 95% of the rehearsals, and Ensemble group will be required more sporadically.
TERM 4: ALL DANCERS will be required each week until the concert
ELIGIBILITY:
- We would like to include all dancers over the age of 10 years old (10yo as of 1st Jan 2025) and above. This opportunity does extend to the 'Adult Class' sector of the school
- At least 3 years experience dancing at Nicz Dansation. Previous experience elsewhere will be considered if applicable
- Applicants must be participating in at least TWO classes across the Nicz Dansation timetable in 2025
** If students outside of these requirements want to be involved, they will be required to fill out the field/textbox on the registration form as to why they should be considered. This is encouraged for dancers who are up for the challenge…!
COST:
- $30 costume hire/purchase fee per dancer will be applicable for each group, and is payable prior to rehearsals commencing in Term 2 (via website www.nicz.com.au)
- No tuition fee applicable
- Commemorative 60th Anniversary Troupe apparel will be available to purchase during the year
SELECTION PROCESS:
- Dancers will be selected according to their preferred dance style/availability, alongside previous commitment and attitude within their weekly classes at Nicz. Lead group applicants will also participate in an in-person audition.
- Parents/Dancers will be notified regarding selection via email
- Upon acceptance, all comms will be via registered email address
